Bobby's case of arthritis

Bobby is a beautiful 9 year old Pointer cross who visits us regularly for his Pentosan injections. Bobby suffers from Degenerative Joint Disease (arthritis) which means he has to visit the clinic monthly for an injection of Pentosan. Pentosan improves cartilage quality, improves joint fluid quality, increases blood supply to joints and provides anti-inflammatory activity. For Bobby this means he is much more comfortable, gets around a lot better and enjoys his time at the park!

If your dog suffers from arthritis, especially as the colder months approach, ask us for more information or make an appointment for a check-up.

Signs of arthritis include:

  • reluctance to climb stairs or jump in the car
  • reluctance to walk, run and play
  • limping or going slower on walks
  • cries of pain when touched
  • licking at joints
  • swelling of joints
