Sam, a beautiful 4-year-old Chihuahua-cross presented to the clinic to have surgery on his eye. Sam needed to have an eyelid mass removal as we suspected that the mass may have been related to him getting a corneal ulcer from the mass irritating his eye.
Sam was admitted to our hospital ward where we prepared him for surgery as he needed a general anaesthetic for this procedure. Dr Shannon excised the mass and sutured it closed.
Sam recovered well from his procedure and continued healing with the assistance of some medication and eye ointment. Sam’s eye is looking wonderful and he is acting much more like his usual self. We enjoyed having Sam here at the clinic. He loves his cuddles and is a little sweetheart!
