Know the Newbie!
Clare started working at Brunswick Central Vet Clinic in late July and is absolutely loving the clinic, its hard working employees and the wonderful clients (both furry and non-furry) she meets every day.
Clare began nursing 3 years ago after starting her second degree in Veterinary Technology through CSU. Before nursing, she completed her degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience, specialising in Genetics and Zoology and was working in an agriculture lab.
Clare grew up in country Victoria with her dad, a Park Ranger for Parks Victoria, and her mum a human nurse. Her love for animals started very young and mixed both of her parents professions together by caring for orphaned and injured wildlife found throughout Gippsland.
Clare adores nursing and loves all her patients but is definitely a self proclaimed dog lady. She has been likened to breeds like the Boxer and Staffys for her silly and sometimes crazy, high energy, big smile, a little dorky but loving personality.
The end goal for Clare is to open a not for profit school in underprivileged communities around the world teaching the young and old animal conservation and sustainable agriculture for the betterment of the world as a whole.
