Klaus is a four year old Miniature Schnauzer who made a visit to our clinic after jumping off the couch.
Upon presentation Klaus appeared very lame on his left forelimb. He was admitted for radiographs in order to identify and assess any damage caused from the impact. Four metacarpal fractures were clearly recognised on the radiographs performed.
Klaus then had to undergo extensive orthopaedic surgery in order to pin and repair the damaged metacarpals. With regular bandage changes every week, this brave man is well on his way to making a full recovery.
No matter how much pain Klaus has experienced his little tail has never stopped wagging!
