Our Christmas Surprise

Just before Christmas Brunswick Central Vet was gifted with a lovely surprise. A little female cat joined us from a local shelter, and we were only too happy to have her and her two kittens for the holiday season. These two girls and a boy all needed new forever homes. Affectionately titled "Mama", and her new babies - Mia and George - went into foster care with one of our nurses, Stephanie, while they grew and learned to eat food on their own, giving mum a much-needed break!

Before long, Mama and her little Mia were ready for adoption after being desexed.  By the time Mia had healed from her procedure, she had a home! We didn't even have a chance to advertise her! George was ready for his desexing procedure now, and once completed he joined Mama in our adoption display. He was a show-off from the first moment!  Mama's laid-back nature was easy to see, and it wasn't long before she too had been adopted, just two weeks after Mia! We were thrilled. Her new family has named her Margot, and loves to send us updates on how she is.

Little George got the adoption display all to himself - more room for back flips, zoomies and chasing imaginary mice underneath the blankets until it was time to fall asleep or eat. A week later, a couple spied him sound asleep and went over to say hello while visiting with their two young Border Collies. And then again, a little later without them. And then once more to be sure. Sure enough, it was love. George found a home! He was adopted two days later! In under four weeks, our lucky little rescues found their new families.
