Puppy School FAQs
Age Requirements
8 – 16 weeks.
What Does My Puppy Need Before Attending?
Their first vaccination and up to date with flea/worming.
Class Structure
This is a 5-week course; you and your puppy will attend all of the classes making the most of your puppy’s sensitive learning period. You will receive a comprehensive Puppy Manual and weekly emails loaded with support material to help your puppy thrive through puppyhood and beyond. Classes run on either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.
Family Attendance
Due to limited clinic space, we do ask that no more than 2 family members per puppy attend each session. We encourage children aged 8 years or over to attend and participate, as this allows for them to be involved and assists adults to remain focused on the puppy’s training.
Why run Puppy School at the Vet clinic?
Veterinary clinics are something your puppy will visit for the remainder of their life; however, some dogs find visits to the vet clinic extremely stressful. Hence the importance of building positive and fun experiences in these environments.
During puppy classes we will incorporate positive reinforcements-based training with gradual exposure to equipment associated with health checks and veterinary procedures to reduce any fear or anxiety associated with these settings.
Disclaimer: Please be advised that in the event of insufficient puppy sign-ups for a class, we may need to reschedule or cancel the classes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
